Post-wise Educational Qualification

Assistant Teacher for LP

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education) AND
Passed in ATET/CTET for LPS

Assistant Teacher for UP (Arts)

Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education).

TET Qualification: Passed in Assam TET or CTET for UPS

Assistant Teacher for UP (Science)

B. Sc. from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education)

TET Qualification: Passed in ATET/CTET for UPS (Science and Mathematics).

Other Criteria DEE Assam

Age Limit: Candidates age should not be less than 18 years and not more than 40 years as on 01/01/2023.

Age Relaxation: Category-wise upper age limit relaxation is as mentioned below

Ex-Serviceman: 2 years
OBC/MOBC: 3 years
ST/SC: 5 years
PwD:10 years

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Other Conditions of DEE Assam Recruitment

The Director of Elementary Education, Assam reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment at any state without assigning any reason thereof.

Applications seeking condonation/ relaxation of any criteria should be made to the appropriate authority as per applicable norms at least 7 days prior to filling up of online applications.

The candidates who have passed the ATET/CTET will be eligible for applying.

The Language-I of the both ATET and CTET candidates shall match the medium of instruction of the school, wherein the candidate wishes to apply. As for example, if a candidate wishes to apply in an Assamese Medium School, the candidate must have Assamese as Language-I in the ATET/CTET.

The Merit List will be separate for each district and category.

No person having more than two living children on or after 01/01/2021 from a single or multiple partners shall be eligible for appointment as per the Govt. policy on Small Family Norms, the Guidelines contained in the Notification No. ABP.69/2019/17 dated 06/11/2019 and No. ABP.69/2019/18 dated 16/11/2019
