Assam TET for 6th Schedule District: Government of Assam in provision of section 23 of RTE Act – 2009 has released notification to conduct special TET examination for 6^th schedule area districts. Interested and eligible candidates (as per the eligibility criteria of government notification) may apply online.

Detail notification for Assam TET for 6th Schedule District

Paper I: Lower Primary (Class I-V)

Districts: Baksa, Chirang, Dima-Hasao, Kokrajhar and Karbi-Anglong

Educational Qualification:

Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Graduate and 2 (two) years diploma in Elementary Education(by whatever name known).OR Senior Secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any NCTE recognized institute shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE, within two years of such appointment as primary teacher.
However, a candidate who is pursuing and having admit card of final year examination of any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE guideline dated 11^th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However he/she can apply for appointment only after acquiring all the required qualification.

Remark: candidate admitted into 2-year D.El.Ed. program before 31^st August 2009: please refer to clause B under sub heading Relaxation.

Paper II: Upper Primary (Class VI-VIII)

Districts: Baksa, Chirang, Dima-Hasao, Kokrajhar and Karbi-Anglong

Educational Qualification:

Graduation and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR At least 50% marks either in Graduation or Post Graduation and B.Ed. OR Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR Senior secondary or its equivalent with at least 50% marks and 4 years BA/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1year B.Ed (Special Education).
Note: Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had alredy taken admission to B.Ed or B.El.Ed. or equivalent course prior to the 29^th July 2011.

Educational Relaxation:

Relaxation up to 5% in the academic marks in HSSLC or Graduation shall be applicable to the candidate belong to SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD (PH) to appear TET. To know more about relaxations please refer to official advertisement.

Other Eligibility Criteria for Assam TET for 6th Schedule District

Resident:

Candidates must be a permanent resident of the 6^th Schedule area districts.
Candidates must have minimum academic and professional qualification as per NCTE norms.

Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens.

Application Fee:

General category: Rs. 450/-

SC/ST/OBC/MOBC: Rs. 350/-

PWD: Rs. 200/-
